Every time you complete a ritual, your nervous system becomes more capable and you weave more practical magic into your daily life.
You only need a couple rituals a week to reap the benefits.
Here’s a ritual for today:
Who belongs in Outer Space?
When I first learned to set better boundaries, I desired a concise system that would allow me to reposition people in my life - so I created one and called it the Orbit System. This system allows me to easily see who is draining vs nourishing me, and it gives me permission to consciously place people where they belong instead of letting folks default to closer orbits than they’ve earned.
Watch the attached video to better understand and organize your own orbit. When you’re done, and if you have the spoons, I would love to know what has shifted for you, what remains the same, and how you plan to approach your relationships now that you can see where everyone stands more clearly.
The Orbit System
What’s magical about this practice:
Burnout defense
Neurodivergents often feel drained by too much connection and/or unclear boundaries. This practice helps you see who belongs close and who needs more distance, protecting your energy and you from burnout.
Stronger Protection for Your Nervous System
Visualizing your orbits acts as an energetic shield, helping you avoid overstimulation by keeping interactions at the level you choose.
Permission to Honor Your Needs
Many neurodivergents are taught to people please or otherwise prioritize others’ comfort over our own. This practice gives you a framework to honor your needs FIRST, without guilt.
Your guide to Unmasking
You’ll have a visual guide for who you can unmask and be yourself around, and who feels better kept at a distance, which will help you cultivate self compassion and self trust.
